Updated: 9/15/2022
Peanut butter is a classic. It can be spread with jelly and put on bread for a tasty, quick, and easy lunch. But aside from a PB&J, what exactly can you do with peanut butter? Since November is National Peanut Butter Lover’s Month, it is time to get inventive and find all the tasty and creative ways to use peanut butter. Here are some of our favorites!
1. Spread Peanut Butter in your Ice Cream Cone
A must-try if you love peanut butter is to spread some on the inside of your ice cream cone before adding the ice cream. The nuttiness of the peanut butter will taste amazing when paired with the cold and sweet ice cream.
2. Add Some Peanut Butter to Baked Goods
Baked goods such as muffins are warm, fluffy, and dense and make for a great breakfast or snack. When adding some peanut butter into the batter, the results are incredible. You can make peanut butter muffins, peanut butter cake, or even peanut butter cookies.
3. Spread Peanut Butter On Your Crepes
Adding peanut butter to your crepes is similar to putting it in your ice cream cone. The crispiness of the hot crepe will warm the peanut butter and make it a nutty delight! You can even add some strawberries, kiwi, or blueberries to the peanut butter crepe to make it sweet and refreshing.
4. Make Chinese Peanut Butter Noodles
If you are on social media, you may have seen the trending Chinese peanut butter noodles. These noodles are sweet, savory, and super easy to make. Just add some soy sauce, black vinegar, peanut butter, sesame oil, and garlic, and you are ready to go! Peanut butter noodles can be served hot or cold.
Be Wary of Peanut Allergies
With all the fun that comes with discovering various ways to use peanut butter comes great responsibility. You should always remember to keep peanut butter separate from other foods, especially when feeding guests or people you don’t know.
Peanuts are one of the most common allergies in the world. Because of this, it is important to be cautious of cross-contamination. Cross-contamination can make someone incredibly ill and even cause them to end up in anaphylactic shock.
Our food handling course teaches you all about preventing cross-contamination and proper food handling skills. The courses are all ANSI-accredited food safety courses and can help you become certified in food handling.
